Frustrated but moving ahead.... I hope

I talked to the Dr's office today. It wasn't great news.
Apparently our insurance tells the patients that call that the sleeve is covered or "billable" however when the office tries to get the approval it is denied. Yevette said she's frustrated with them too because she now has to explain to the patents that its not covered.
We even called the insurance back today and verified what they told us.
Anyway.. apparently they will cover the bypass or the lap band. I'm not interested in the lap band. So I guess we're off and running for the bypass. I'm ok with the change, just frustrated with the insurance for leading me on. Chris said he was going to call them again and talk to them and get an explanation as to why we're told different than the dr's office.
Anyway, Yevette said if I haven't heard from her on Monday afternoon to call her back. She's trying to get the code changed on my form and get it resubmitted for me and has ask the nurse to expidite the process. So we'll see what happens from here. I'll keep praying we're making the right decision and doing what is best. :)

Scrappy Weekend

I'm going to a stamping show tomorrow.. but tonight after work I had to go to a local shop first to pick up a tix. They are 6 bucks at door or Barb said she'd give me one if I stopped by the store first. I needed to pick up a stamp for the monogram stamper anyway.. so double duty :)

Our stuff from the SU party came in Thursday. What fun!!! I can't wait to get to use it all. The crop-a-dial is going to be an amazing tool to use. Their stuff is pretty neat all the way around though. It was very hard to choose what to get.

Another test scheduled...

I got a call yesterday and I've been set up for another test.. this one is with a pulmonary doctor.
I go March 3rd.
I called the Dr. Office to see if this meant I'd been approved as the last lady I spoke to said I wouldn't get more testing until insurance was approved. Guess they were wrong because the snooty lady said my insurance hasn't even been filed yet. *Sigh*

This was such a fun day. Everyone keeps talking about how much fun it was.
I can't wait to do another one. (But my pocketbook can LOL)

Stampin Up and stuff...

Yesterday I hosted my first Stampin Up demo party. WOW how much fun that was.
Our demonstrator was awesome too, you can check out her site and place an order with her if your into stamping or card making. Hey.. even host your own show and get free goodies.
We had a good group.. and even my Mom and Aunt drove 3.5 hours just to come.
I closed the show today and it should be back ni 5-7 days. I can't wait. Two of the ladies are having shows too.. I already have my wish list ready ;) I can deffinately see having another workshop!! Oh and found out that Deb, the demo lady, had worked for the surgical group I'm using, she couldn't stop saying nice things about them and their work. She even has the lap-band herself. It's really nice to know your not alone and that there are people you can turn to with questions.

On other info... I am getting used to my cpap machine. It's still not the funnest thing I've ever done. But oh well.. hopefully after surgery I shouldn't need it for too long. :)

I found out today that my half brother, Julian, is officially in Afghanistan. :( I pray for his safe return home. I'm not sure how long he's supposed to be there but hopefully it isn't too long. Please add him to your prayer list.

Yesterday while we were at the SU demo, my husband did more smoking on the new smoker. Today he shreaded the brisket and make a wonderful BBQ Sauce for it. And he made more smoked poppers.. YUM YUM.. he can't do that too often.. I can't stay on plan with him making those things.. one taste and your HOOKED.

Waiting...

Not sure I mentioned this but I called the Dr's office on Monday to find out what other tests I have to have, and so far I have done all that have been prescribed. The next thing is for him to get all the results back and then he can file with the insurance. So who knows how long that'll take. Hopefully he'll get all the results this week so we can get moving.

Last night was an experience with the cpap machine. I fell asleep ok, but I have to turn often in order for my hips to not hurt the next day.. yeah.. lets just say I've had a bit of pain today. But the most troublesome issue is when I do move the mask digs into my face and that's what kept waking me up. Hopefully tonight'll go better. If not, I'll call the company tomorrow and see what they suggest.

New Machine

Well.... today I picked up my new cpap machine. I didn't think it would bother me but somehow I'm a little sad that I have to have one. Oh well.. no biggie :) I did some shop therapy afterwards. Only spent $2.00 LOL Guess I didn't need much therapy, huh?
We'll see how it goes tonight.

Superbowl Sunday

I figured today would be a good day to test out some recipes for next weekend.. it being superbowl and Chris' aunt is coming over.

no wonder I'm tired... wonder if there is time for a nap before the game.. hmmm

And NO.. I wont be eating all of the food.. I know my limits and I plan on sticking to them :)
